More of Kauai, Polihale Beach
We went on quite the adventure the other day. We headed off to West Shore (we’re staying in Poi Pu) and ended up going all the way to the end of the line!
There is a section of the Kauai coastline that is not accessible except by hiking or by boat call Na Pali. We drove right up to it. The drive included a 5 mile jaunt down an extremely potholed dirt road, but hey we were in a rental. The bouncy ride was worth it, we ended up at an incredibly beautiful beach that butted right up to the Na Pali coastline.
It was hot, sunny, and glorious and virtually empty! The surf is high this time of year and we weren’t able to let the kids just frolic in the water, WAY too dangerous. Another young family turned up with kids Amy and Evan’s age and they all had fun playing together in the sand. We also got a nice view of some nudists that seemed to have no problem showing all their glory to the world. Of course now Amy doesn’t understand why she can’t go naked on the beaches now.
Here are a few pictures, can you tell I’ve been practicing off set focal point in photography? Note to sell don’t do ALL your pictures that way. How the heck do you scrapbook a page where all the pictures are like that? HMMM……
You can see the beginning of the Na Pali coastline behind Amy and Kyle.
