Poi Pu Beach Kauai
We are staying on the South Beach area of Kauai and on the days Pat has been in conference we have gone to Poi Pu Beach because it is so close. It is a little crowded but it’s a great little cove for the kids, more protected with the surf breaking out away from the water’s edge. The kids loved rolling in the surf.
Poi Pu was also a great place to build sand castles. Pat helped the kids build a nice big one. Of course what’s the fun of building aThere were some gorgeous little shells on the beach. Kyle and I had a great time collecting them. But we threw them all back out in the ocean at the end of the day because it is illegal to take any shells away from the beaches in Hawaii. It was a great opportuinty for a lesson in personal responsibility to the enviroment and that everyone does their part. It was hard for Kyle to throw them back, but he did!
