Scrapbook Retreat… I’m so excited!
I will be off on a Mom’s getaway this weekend, I’m so excited. Two years ago I discovered a wonderful outfit called Croptime. They organize weekend long scrapbook retreats in different cities around the Pacific Northwest. This is the third year I’ve done one and boy do I need it. I’m sorry to say that I haven’t done a page since my last scrapbook retreat last February, 2006. Isn’t that pathetic? If you have little kids like I do it is nearly impossible to get out the pictures and all the scrapbooking stuff without having them into all of it. I need a room I can lock up like Fort Knox and I simply don’t have one. So I look forward to weekends like this when I can hunker down, spread out, and get some work done undisturbed.
If you like to scrapbook Croptime is like hitting Nirvana. They rent out a conference room in a nice hotel for the weekend. You show up Friday afternoon, get yourself set up at your table, and you have the whole weekend to work. The room is guarded the whole time so when you’ve finally cropped till you drop you just leave your stuff and go to bed! The whole thing is catered with lots of great midnight snacks and beverage breaks. They have local vendors come in and sell supplies and teach classes. And best of all they have a fantastic work center with every scrapbooking do dad doo hicky thing you could ever imagine to try out. Add to that fun games, contests, prizes. You get to hang with all your best mom buddies. It’s a blast and I just can’t wait until I get to do it again this weekend. I’m sitting here right now trying to organize some recent pictures to get printed before I leave. I was Queen of the Crop last year so I have a reputation to uphold!
